Georgia Aquarium Atlanta, GA

Georgia Aquarium, this is a short post, but I wanted to share my experience.

I conveniently stayed across the street at the Springhill Suites, making it easy to walk there and not have to pay to park. The view was beautiful, and the hotel was so lovely. There is a bar downstairs with bar food, which was great. Note that parking is valet, and you go in and out the same lane, which was confusing and felt slightly unsafe and was very confusing at first.

The first stop was breakfast at Atlanta Breakfast Club because it was right next to our hotel and on our way to the aquarium, but I would skip the cinnamon roll and stick to the regular chicken and waffles.

The aquarium is fantastic but small; it won’t take the entire day. We spent a little over two hours there and saw everything, and that was us taking our time and hanging out watching the whale sharks, which was the main reason we went.

The aquarium is broken up into sections you can visit in any order, so everyone goes different ways, eliminating a lot of the crowding, but sometimes the little areas can get crowded.

There are other things that we did not do dolphin and sea lion shows. Encounters with the animals, and more check out the website for more information on those.

Truett’s Luau

600 Lanier Ave W Ste 103, Fayetteville, GA 30214

Ok, this part isn’t in Atlanta, GA, but if you are already here, you should make the 30-minute drive to Truett’s Luau (Hawaiian Chick-fil-A), a little bit of Hawaii in Georgia. Ensure you sit in the dining room; they have the whole regular Chick-fil-A and their other menu. This was one hundred percent worth the drive. Definitely get a pineapple milkshake, absolutely get the nuggets, and burger, and sweet potato fries, and pretty much everything else on the menu. We ordered a lot to try it all, and it did not disappoint. Honestly, it is probably a good thing I don’t live closer because I would always be there. They have ukuleles you can take to your table and play with, a fresh garden outside, and much more. It is an entire experience that I highly recommend.

I will be heading to Atlanta in the near future and will do a full post of the city then. Happy traveling!
